Accessibility statement
We want every homeowner to be able to use this site — including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, or a magnified screen.
Our commitment
State Restoration Services is a family-owned roofing company in Lincolnshire, Illinois. We believe that finding a trustworthy contractor, reading about your roof, or asking us for an inspection should not depend on how you use a computer. We are working to make staterestoration.us accessible to everyone, and we treat accessibility as ongoing maintenance rather than a one-time project.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the guidelines referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and used as the benchmark for public-facing websites in the United States.
We want to be straightforward with you: we are not claiming perfect conformance. Parts of this site meet the standard today, and parts of it are still being improved. We would rather tell you that honestly than post a badge that is not accurate.
What we have done so far
- Every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text for screen readers.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and a single main heading, so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
- A "Skip to main content" link lets keyboard users jump past the navigation.
- Every form field has a real label, not just placeholder text, and fields support browser autofill.
- Keyboard focus is always visible — you can see where you are on the page while tabbing.
- Body text and interface text are set to meet the 4.5:1 colour-contrast ratio.
- The site works at any screen width down to 320 pixels, and you can pinch-zoom on mobile.
- Nothing on the site auto-plays audio or flashes.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working on them:
- The star ratings shown with customer reviews use a gold that does not reach the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. The rating is always written out in text next to the stars, so the information is never conveyed by colour alone.
- Some filter controls on the project gallery use an older third-party component whose labelling and contrast we are still updating.
- Scanned licence certificates are photographs of paper documents, so their text cannot be read by a screen reader. For this reason every licence number is also written out as text on our licensed & insured page.
If any page, form or document on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please contact us. Tell us the page address and what happened, and we will help you directly and get the problem fixed.
Call (866) 992-2982 during office hours (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM), or use our contact form. We aim to respond within two business days.
Getting information another way
If you cannot access something on this site, we will give you the same information another way — over the phone, by e-mail, or in person at your home during a free inspection. That includes estimates, licence documents, warranty details and anything in our Knowledge Centre. There is no charge and no catch.
How we test
We check this site with automated accessibility testing across screen widths from 320 pixels to 1920 pixels, keyboard-only navigation, and colour-contrast measurement. We re-check whenever we add a significant new page or feature.
This statement was last reviewed in July 2026. It applies to staterestoration.us. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as financing partners or our Better Business Bureau profile, which publish their own accessibility statements.
