We like to make our process as easy as possible for our customers. Know just exactly what to expect from any project, with our step-by-step guide.
After we have completed the initial steps as described above, including filling out the necessary claim forms, we will take charge of step two: claim filing and initial estimating. As required by the Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI), we will submit the claim forms on your behalf to your insurance company, accompanied by various supporting documents. These documents typically include:

By assembling and submitting this package of information, we aim to facilitate a thorough and efficient claim process on your behalf. Our goal is to present a well-documented claim to your insurance company, increasing the likelihood of a favorable resolution.
Once the claim process is initiated by your insurance company, they will require some time to assign a dedicated Claim Adjuster or Claim Handling Team to your case. Typically, this assignment and scheduling of a mutual inspection at your house will occur within 2-3 weeks from the date the claim was opened.
It is of utmost importance for us to be present when the Insurance Inspector arrives, as our role as your public adjuster is to represent your interests and ensure a thorough inspection is conducted. Therefore, we kindly request that you leave the scheduling of the inspection to us and direct any inquiries or scheduling requests from the insurance company towards our team.
Simultaneously, we strongly advise against your presence during the inspection, unless there is interior damage that must be addressed. By having us present on your behalf, we can effectively communicate with the Insurance Inspector, provide necessary documentation, and ensure a smooth and comprehensive inspection process.
Rest assured that our expertise and experience in handling insurance claims will enable us to navigate this stage efficiently. We are dedicated to protecting your interests and ensuring that your claim is handled fairly and accurately.
When the time comes, we will arrange a meeting with the Insurance Company Representative at your house for a comprehensive and detailed inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to thoroughly assess all the items and components of your house that appear to be damaged as a result of a storm or other perils. Our goal is to create a comprehensive list of the identified damages, which will then be reviewed closely by the Insurance Company's in-house adjuster.
The coverage decision made by the Insurance Company will be based on the assessment of the damages. The specific decision-making process may vary depending on the insurance company and their internal standard operating procedures. Typically, it takes approximately one week to hear back from the Insurance Carrier after the inspection. However, it's important to note that the Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI) and most states allow insurance carriers up to 21 calendar days from the date of inspection to make a coverage decision or provide us with an estimate of the approved repairs.
During this period, we will actively engage with the Insurance Company to ensure a prompt and fair resolution. Our team will closely monitor the progress and maintain open lines of communication to expedite the decision-making process. We understand the importance of a timely response and will diligently work towards obtaining the estimate of approved repairs within the given timeframe.
